SPOTLIGHT | Bamboo
Botanically categorized as a grass and not a tree, one of the most sustainable fibers happens to come from one of the fastest renewable resources. Bamboo grows incredibly fast, with a growth rate of over a yard per day, and can do so with about a 1/3 less water to grow than cotton. Bamboo does not require replanting after harvesting; the plant’s vast root system continually sprouts new shoots. Bamboo fabric is strong yet light, extremely soft to the touch, and requires less dye than cotton.
